Low Fat Alfredo Sauce
1 Onion, medium, finely chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
2 Tbsp. Butter
1 and 1/2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
3 Cups 1 percent Milk
1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 Cup Sour Cream, low fat
In a large frying pan, sauté onions and garlic in butter. Cook 7 minutes until onions are tender. In a cup, combine cornstarch with 1/2 cup milk and stir well. Add 2 and 1/2 cups milk into the pan with onions and garlic. bring liquid to a boil and stir in cornstarch mixture. Continue stirring until mixture thickens. Reduce heat to low, stir in parmesan cheese and sour cream, using a whisk if needing to take out the lumps. Stir in chives, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and seasoning salt. Simmer for 3 minutes and serve over cooked fettuccine noodles. Enjoy!!!
