Ham and Potato Soup
4 Cups Potatoes (diced, can peel if desired)
1/2 Cup Celery (diced)
1/2 Cup Onion (finely chopped)
1/2 Cup Carrots (diced)
1 Cuo Ham (diced)
4 Cups Water
2 Tbsp. Chicken Bouillon
1/2 tsp. Seasoning Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
5 Tbsp. Butter or Margarine
5 Tbsp. Flour
2 Cups Milk
In a large stock pot combine potatoes, celery, onion, ham and water. Bring to boil, then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in chicken bouillon, seasoning salt, pepper and garlic powder. In a separate saucepen, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook until thick about one mintue. Slowly stir in milk so no lumps will form. Continue stirring until thick. Stir the milk mixture into the large pot and cook the soup until heated through. Serve immedicately. Enjoy!!!
